Track habits and keep your streaks

A habit repeats on chosen weekdays, all seven by default, or on a cadence of days on and off. It can have more than one schedule, called a group, each with its own time. Rest days you did not schedule never break a streak. Mark a past day done and your streak stays.

Create a habit

Habits live in the Habits list, grouped by topic like tasks.

  1. Open Habits

Press 3, or choose Habits at the top of the panel.

  2. Press Create habit

The + at the top of the list opens the New habit form.

  3. Choose Recurrence, then press Create habit

It appears on every day it is scheduled.

Reward runs from 1 to 1,000 coins, and a new habit starts at 11:00 PM. In Cadence, On days run from 1 to 365 and Off days from 0 to 365.

Suggested habits at the foot of the list adds Push-ups, Running, Reading or Stretching.

Every habit starts with one schedule, its Default group. Habit groups shows how to add more, change them and delete them.

Keep your streak

Click the scheduled days. The streak follows the app's own rule.

The streak stops at the latest scheduled day left undone. Click it to mark it done.

  • Each scheduled day you finish adds 1.
  • A scheduled day left undone ends the run. Your next completion starts it again at 1.
  • All the groups of one habit share one streak, and it grows once a day.

The flame beside each habit in the list shows its current Streak. The days in a row you completed a habit on its scheduled days. Rest days you did not schedule never break it.. The Habit streak card in Analytics counts across all your habits: the scheduled days in a row with at least one completion.

Rest days never count against a streak; the method explains why.

Restart a habit after a break

A broken streak restarts at your next completion, unless Complete activity repairs it first.

Example data: the same week before and after Complete activity.

Complete activity logs a habit you did but did not tick, for any of the last 7 days.
